Your First Visit to Our San Diego Practice

You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. Help is on its way!

When you arrive for your first visit to our office you will be greeted by James our office manager. If you have not already downloaded and filled out the new patient forms, she will provide them to you for completion.

We are a “Family” practice so make yourself at home, help yourself to some tea or a piece of seasonal fruit if you wish and you will be given an office tour shortly thereafter.

Dr. Wheeler will then meet you in his office where together you will begin to discover the source of your concerns, perform a thorough chiropractic examination, range of motion study, postural evaluation and follow up with a set of chiropractic x-rays.

These tests will provide Dr. Wheeler with the most current data possible to adequately discern the most appropriate course of care for you.

You should reserve approximately 30 minutes of your time.

Dr. Wheeler Asks some important questions of interest to San Diego residents - Chiropractor San Diego Dr. Wheeler Asks...

Why does chiropractic work?
Chiropractic works because your nervous system, consisting of your brain, spinal cord and all the nerves of your body, controls and regulates every cell, tissue, organ and system of your body. A chiropractor locates and reduces areas of nervous system compromise (usually along the spine) so your capacity to heal is restored. Chiropractic works by helping your body work as it was designed.
What causes vertebral subluxations?
Chiropractors acknowledge three types of stress: physical, chemical and emotional. When the adaptive capacity of your body is compromised, weakened areas along the spine can become involved. Muscles tighten, spinal joints lock up and nearby nerves are affected. The purpose of chiropractic care is to find these areas and restore balance, alignment and motion.
